Welcome to the Bewicke website, the home of Newcastle's premier badminton club.
Bewicke Badminton Club was set up 1951 playing at Bewicke Road initially playing in the old Wallsend League. A few years after founding, the club moved on to The Wallsend Memorial Halls and it is presently playing in the east end of Newcastle at the Gibson Street Baths.
The club plays on two nights, Wednesday and Friday and has around 30 members. These nights are primarily used for the club but on occasions are used to host matches as Bewicke BC are full members of the Northumberland Badminton Association. We have 5 teams in the leagues, two in the men's, one in the women's and two mixed teams.
Players of all abilities are welcome to come and try it out, just turn up on one of the club nights or
contact us. You don't have to be a member of the club, visitors can come along and play on a night by night basis.
