Hi,
Our family is planning to move to Bristol area from Finland during next year and we are looking for a possibility for our son to continue playing ice hockey.
He is currently 6 years old and would be 7 next year. He has been skating for 3 years where last year has been in team having proper coaches.
Is in your club any possible team for him to continue his hobby, or would you know if there would be some other club in Bristol area that would be suitable?

Steve Briere and Todd Dutiaume
Steve Briere
Steve was drafted to the WHL at the age of 15, and played his junior hockey mainly in Manitoba's junior A league and earned the opportunity to play in the USHL, (USA's top league) between Omaha Lancers and Sioux City Musketeers. Steve then attended the University of Alabama, Hutsville where he won an NCAA national championship in hockey. When joining the professional ranks, Steve played in the CHL for Memphis Riverkings before quickly impressing enough to earn a 2-way contract between Mississippi of the ECHL and Providence of the AHL, where Steve was invited to the pre-season training camp of the NHL's Boston Bruins alongside farmiliar faces we all know today. Steve then played in the ECHL for Cincinnati Cyclones and Toledo Storm before moving to the UK to play for Fife, where he won the BNL championship with the Flyers. After a number of seasons in Fife, Steve went back to North America to play in the CHL for Amarillo, however decided to move back to the UK so re-joined the Fife Flyers. Steve went on to play in the Elite League for Basingstoke and is now playing in the EPL with the Bracknell Bees.
Todd Dutiaume
Like Steve, Todd was drafted to the WHL at a young age and played 2 consecutive years with Brandon Wheat Kings. Outstanding seasons, scoring 31 pts and 45 pts earned Todd a move to the Moose Jaw Warriors where he went on to score 55 pts. Todd was then immediately handed a chance in the AHL with Portland Pirates before coming to the UK and playing for Swindon and Telford, Ayr and Fife Flyers. Todd has won the BNL twice with Fife (99-00 and 03-04) and is now Head Coach of the Flyers team. |

From July 24th-28th (9am to 2pm daily) there will be a hockey development camp taking place at Whitley Bay Ice Rink (participants to arrive at 8am in order to register with their coach). This is for both goaltenders AND players, however will be run seperately in order to provide optimum teaching standard. Steve Briere will run the goalie training, and Todd Dutiaume will be taking the players. (for more information on Steve and Todd, please read my post below.)
There is also a camp running in Perth, Scotland from July 11th - 14 however this is strictly only for goaltenders and there will be no "players" tuition at this camp. The times of this camp are 9am to 2:30pm daily.
