Slow Food Eating Newsletter(London)

Terra Madre 26-30 Oct 2006

Welcome to the Mold Slow Food Movement Website.

Slow Food, founded in Italy in 1986 is now an international organisation whose aim is to protect the pleasures of the table from the growth and homogenization of modern fast food and life. Through a variety of initiatives, it promotes gastronmic culture, develops taste education, conserves agricultural biodiversity and protects traditional foods at risk of extinction.

Slow Food Mold - Why?

As the Slow Food Mold contingent we are an informal group of like minded people who love our food and get together on a 6 to 8 weekly basis to talk about and experience food and related matters. We try to organise events on this basis and experience and pass around local knowledge about food.
The annual membership fee to join the Slow Food movement is £35 per person or £47 per couple. Your are welcome to join us on two events prior to joining.
